Chapter 10: Exit Thailand, Enter Malaysia

Our time in Thailand was full of party and adventure, but the soup was spiked pretty heavily with alcohol. And, much like India the last portion of our time in Thailand wasn’t the greatest and didn’t exactly leave us with the best impressions. Johan was hit by a car fairly hard, which stopped as the driver rolled his window down to give us the finger and say quite challengingly ‘Fuck you.’ Now, we had large bamboo sticks but I suppose they had a car full of people… We were mad and yelled and threatened, but we didn’t strike back. Who knows what they had there in the car. We’re in a foreign country, etc. All of this happened for no reason. That’s one.

The night before we left we were hanging out with our Swedish girls very late when a drunk Thai girl strolls up outside their hotel room. She offered us some of her beer, which we gladly accepted. A few minutes later the beer was empty and she demanded that we buy her a new one. What? We told the crazy bitch no and she put her cigarette out on Johan’s shoulder. What?! We fled the scene before she could really go nuts, but as we walked down the street we realized ‘What about Camila?’ Not right. So, we went back just to make sure the crazy Thai bitch didn’t go nuts on her, which she did. When she spotted Clint, who ran inside Camila’s room the door slammed open and Camila was like, ‘No. The boys are gone.’ The drunk Thai bitch went on a crazy rant to Camila about her asshole boyfriend and how he needs to learn respect, etc. etc. Finally, she leaves only to see poor Jo coming up the street wondering what happened to Clint? Johan hides behind a bush. Clint comes out as Jo emerges from the bush with a crazy Thai lady close behind. Clint says ‘Run!’ So we did. Now, we weren’t exactly afraid of her. I mean, we had sticks- but she was crazy and it was kind of funny too. But we didn’t know if she had other crazy locals she could call (like the kind that hit might you with a car), police, etc. So, we fled and that's two.

Clint already wrote about this fat Thai woman who tried to scam us on his blog. So, you can read about that there if you want: clintdoeseurope.blogspot.com. But, as you can see our final days in Thailand were not the best. We still love Thailand but that was strike three.

As for Malaysia, we were reunited with our Swedish girls (3 of them) and pretty much did nothing. We have been detoxing ever since leaving Thailand. So far, we’ve gone over two weeks without drinking. So all we did was eat, go to the movies, pierce Clint’s tongue (he can always take it out) so he really could only eat yogurt and ice, and form a plan for Indonesia. After a lot of research, we decided on Bali~

Chapter 9: Koh Phangang and The Full Moon Party- Read At Your Own Risk!

Sooooooooo we arrivd maannn, at Ko-pa-gangbang. It’s te shit bro. The bisst pllac eva! Da bitcches r wesome and we r sooooooo trasht! But wur righting this muchhh noow 2 kep the memries. ANND keeping it!!! Well make tha rest l8r. LUV U MOM & DAD… 11!!!!!!!!1 nOW TIM 4 BED.

Well that was interesting to re-read, but we decided to keep it (for you guys). So yeah, we arrived by boat with our groupies from Bangkok, all worn out. We found lodging and had a peaceful day by the beach. That night, we headed for the main beach where the Full Moon Party is held. There were grown children playing with fire everywhere in every way- including a giant jump-rope set alight for stupid drunk tourists to try (and get burnt). We actually didn’t try this! We told ourselves that it wasn’t worth ruining the rest of the trip (but the temptation was there). You could get buckets of alcohol fairly cheap, oh man we had many a bucket as you could tell reading above…

We spent some of our days at the beach, some sleeping all day (really depended upon the hangover). In the main part of town, every restaurant had several big-screen TV’s showing mostly Friends, but also Family Guy, various movies and sports. We had a lot of fun using a Swedish remote that Jo got which turns off any TV (imagine the possibilities). We have used this throughout our trip, but have forgotten to mention it until now. Sports bars are our favorite…. Anyhow, our time in Koh Pangang was full of Friends speech and emulating-mannerisms. FUN!

We also went to a great pool party where Clint pushed random people into the pool and was chased all over the premises more than once! We met up with a cute French-Canadian girl named Veronique. She was pretty fun, one of the guys! She encouraged Clint in his childish ventures, and helped hide him! The night of the pool party is where Jo found his stick. “Fuck you Sebastian, we can have sticks too!” (see video below of his mocking dance). A few days later, Johan stole a stick for Clint as well (someone’s fence had to suffer this time, for the greater good of course).

By this point, we were waking up and ‘Juicing Up’ pretty much everyday to avoid the post-alcoholic recoils of the morning (sorry, afternoon). We also reconnected with a large of group of Swedish girls from Bangkok and spent much of the rest of our time in Koh Pangang around ‘em- they were our girls, man. Clint got a little too into one of them, but Jo slapped him around (literally) and he came to his senses.

And now, onto the Full Moon Party: ABSOLUTE MAYHEM. Everything you can imagine, people in every state you can imagine, everywhere. You literally couldn’t walk down the beach without swimming like a goddamn fish through the crowd. But only for a while… as the night crept on that situation began to change as people just couldn’t make it through the night. People passed out everywhere. But, we made it! We were careful boys and kept each other up and eating, stabilized and ready for more! We formed a group with our group of Swedish girls and used out sticks as dancing-poles for people to dance around- but caution to whoever might touch or knock over our carefully buried stick…

So, yeah the night progressed and our memories became more and more blurred. But, we do remember making it to morning, where suddenly the beach was not so packed. It was full of people passed out or recovering from whatever state they were in (see bottle-man below). We actually tried to sleep on the beach with everyone else, but Jo got angry at all the people throwing his sandals around. He grabbed Clint by the arm and they solemnly walked home arm-in-arm, stick-by-stick. It was 9am.

For some reason our drinking-spree didn’t end with the Full Moon Party. Why oh why?? We woke up the next day, juiced-up and began again. And again the next day. It would have its consequences…

New post coming very soon and possibly more vids if we find some good bandwidth. Sorry for the delay~

Just another beautiful morning after a Full Moon Party!
Worn out on the boatride to Koh Phangang

Stayed around here.
Here's some culture for you Mom/Kerstin- Thai boxing!!
Smoking may kill, but the pictures make it fun!
Jo and Veronique. East and Westsiide!
What is wrong with this picture?
Clint doesn't know what exactly is going through his head. This is why Johan had to smack him.
Full Moon Party.
Couple of painted boyz with sticks!
The morning after.
Aren't we happy? And sober?
Sorry to say, we did contribute to this poor fellas unfortunate situation... nor were we the persons who tipped the table

Clint had his own style going in Koh Phangang for a while. Here is an example. Any idea what kind of look he was going for here? Jo suggests some kind of buddhist-safari monk...

Chapter 8: Bangkok

Alright, Clint finally got Johan to move his lazy ass and make a new blog. So here it is, Bankok~

We arrived in Bangkok from Cal – fucking - cutta, tired and worn out due to lack of sleep from the night before. Our time of arrival couldn’t have been better, we came just as the Thai new years celebration started, basically a big ass water fight, so we got soaked as soon as we stepped out of the taxi. We embraced this crazy celebration with open arms, lots of alcohol and dove straight into the action along with everyone else (we didn’t have much of a choice, the streets were packed with insane Thaïs making sure you were never dry or always covered in clay). This went on for three days and we were quite happy when it all ended…

Our base was close to the famous backpacker street called Khao San Road, filled with bars, tourists, blind-beggars with annoying stereos and Tuk-Tuk drivers wanting to drive us to Ping-Pong shows…? Look it up. They never stopped harassing us as we walked around, but compared to India, we loved it!

We basically started our average night with a few beers on the street and people-watching. Later on we would meet fellow travelers and spend our time grouping- smaller groups would become larges ones and all of a sudden we were a whole gang of fun! This is the way we met the crazy fucker Sebastian; an English-guy with a mowak much cooler than Clint’s. He told us crazy stories about all the shit he’s been up to and wouldn’t walk a meter without his massive bamboo stick. Together, we would sneak into hotel pools, play with thais, hit on girls and too more trouble to tell (don’t worry Mom’s, we haven’t seen the inside of a prison-cell yet ;P)

Just after the water festival ended, Jo decided it was time for a new tattoo. He found a good artist and the work started; a total of 9 hrs in 2 days under the needle with unimaginable pain, ending with a big piece of work under the left side of his chest (see pictures and videos below).

During this time we also had a happy reunion with Angel: a girl we met in Goa, our first ingredient in Asian Soup. She’s a really cool Swedish girl, so we hung out with her and her annoying friend. During this time we were introduced to a third girl, Sarah, a Serbian who lives in Bangkok. We turned on our charm and before we knew it we’d moved out of our hostel and into her sweet house with a pool and parties and Grey Goose vodka every night – for free! Does it get any better?

The whole lot of us hung out for a few great days filled with parties and crazy adventures unimaginable. But, before long it was time to move on again. Next stop, Koh Phagang.

Laters~
Ping pong show?

The finished work.
Align CenterNotice how Clint captured Jo right as his eyes rolled back into his head, presumably from pain? Or, was he just momentarily possessed?
1st stages.
Crazy English, pouring their beer into what appear to be quite expensive shoes and then drinking out of them. A rugby tradition? Afterwards, a 50 year old woman (at least) followed.
What did Clint just say? Johan seems embarrassed..

Fucked.
Phad Thai?
Tuk Tuk?
Not even the police could escape the water festival...
Notice the pink Taxi's. Love it! Yellow is so boring!

Sebastian and our group enjoying buckets of booze!

Johan's own cockroach experience. Notice the convulsions. Clint only wishes he had taped longer................ (he kept it in though)

A Word From Clint~

Clint here, and I know that our Thailand post has been a longtime coming.  Well, frankly I am tired of trying to motivate Jo to do our post together.  I did one for my blog, which includes pics and vids of Johan that you can read for the both of us on: clintdoeseurope.blogspot.com

But- I urge you to comment in English, Swedish or whatever.  Tell him to stop being so lazy.  He's had plenty of time to post for his people following back home!  My people give me shit!  So give him some shit too!

I love him, man I'm traveling with him- but hey now I've said my peace.  You want more, hit him up on facebook or whatever.  The lazy viking......
